Farewell Lacy

Our beloved Lacy left us this morning after a long life of 15 years. She will be missed so very much. Our family just isn't the same without her.

Madelyn adored Lacy! They enjoyed sharing the backseat on roadtrips.

Another Kindermusik Graduation!

Another Kindermusik semester has come to a close. Here's Madelyn getting her "diploma."

It was a special treat that Daddy attended this last session. He loved seeing Madelyn sing, dance, and make music!

She loves using instruments to make her own tunes!

Madelyn was amazed to see real cows!! Each day she asked for the cows, so we got to know them well.

Fun in Arkansas

Last weekend we visited Arkansas for the annual Blossom Festival. It was a lot of fun, as always! Madelyn had fun with Grammy, Papaw, Uncle Matt, and Aunt Nori!

A highlight of the Festival was the Dog Show. Madelyn thought this giant dog was a "horsie!"

The Parade of Cookers is definitely a Festival favorite! Madelyn was decked out in her shades for her first parade.

"This goose in Grammy's front yard looks like the real ones in my neighborhood!"

The slide is a big hit at Grammy and Papaw's house!

My First Umbrella!

Madelyn's newest word is "ba-lella" (umbrella). She was SO excited to find out that she had her very own umbrella that Miss Laura gave her before she was even born!!

"Oh my, it even has a meow on it!! And, it's PINK!! I'm ready for the rain!!"

A Visit to the Dallas Arboretum

Last Saturday we took Madelyn back to the Arboretum to see the Spring flowers. She loved being able to run around and explore everything!

Her favorite thing seemed to be the water fountains. Daddy let her feel the cool water on her hand, and she loved it!

Oops, she "accidentally" walked on a couple of flowers, but hopefully not much damage was done.

She wore clothes with flowers for the special occasion!
