Madelyn's Favorite Toy

Madelyn's absolute FAVORITE item these days is her blue rubber ball. She started getting very attached to it about 2 weeks ago. It's the first thing that has been a bit of a security item to her. Here she is carrying both the ball and an empty milk jug. Who needs expensive toys anyway?! (But looks like she does need some pants!)

She keeps the ball in one arm while doing many other things, including going through the cabinet.

She's enjoying a little down time watching Dora in her little chair holding her ball. This is the life!

Mr. Ducky is a comfy resting place!

Sometimes one favorite ball just isn't enough!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins

We took Madelyn to the Dallas Arboretum to see the pumpkins. She had so much fun! Of course she tried to pick them up, but she was most fascinated by picking up pieces of hay. It was a perfect Autumn day. It was sunny, crisp, and cool - about 65 degrees. Just wonderful!

More at the Arboretum . . .

Mommy and Madelyn enjoyed posing next to the big bush
that was shaped like a giant pumpkin!

She was singing "la-la-la" here and having a wonderful time.

"This is so much fun! I love touching the pretty flowers!!"

Happy Birthday Papaw!

Last week we went to Arkansas to celebrate Papaw's birthday. Madelyn has started saying "Papaw," but she actually says "Papoo." Everyone thought that was really cute!

She loved rearranging the babies at Grammy and Papaw's house.

"La-La" Lessons

We attend Kindermusik class once a week, and Madelyn LOVES it! We sing, clap, dance, and use basic instruments. We call it "la-la" class because she always sings "la-la-la" when we get in the car after class. Thank you, Grammy and Papaw, for giving Madelyn these classes!
She loves playing for a few minutes before class begins.

Here she is with a jingle bell strip and a hand drum. She used both at class this week and had a wonderful time!

Playing on the Golf Course

Almost every night we walk across the street to the
golf course for some play time.
It's such a great place to play once the golfers are finished.
Madelyn and her friend, Ainsley, had a very good time on the green. It was a beautiful night to be outside.

Two Cuties

Madelyn and mommy had a lunch date this week with Sean and his mommy, Belinda. These two cuties were perfect angels through the entire lunch. They even shared food with each other a couple of times. Sean just turned 1 year old, so he and Madelyn had a lot to talk about.

After a little shopping, it was time to say goodbye. We are looking forward to our next outing with sweet Sean!
