1 Year Pictures

We had Madelyn's 1 year photos taken today.

Walking . . . almost!

Madelyn has walked 8 steps now, so she's getting better at this walking thing. Her confidence is increasing daily.

She feels SO proud of herself when taking steps on her own!

Playing at the Mall

We took Madelyn to play at the children's play area at the mall. It's made to look like different kinds of food. Here she is touching the fried egg. She climbed around on everything like crazy! Needless to say, she had a great time.

Dad stayed very close to make sure that she didn't get hurt. We're still a bit overprotective.

What a big girl!

She climbed up on the big steak without too much trouble. Then she let herself down without falling. She had no fear!

Miss Becky and Madelyn

We're so glad that Miss Becky came to visit! Madelyn had so much fun playing with her.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! Our little patriotic girl loves being outside. She was sitting in front of some of the flowers that Dad planted for her birthday.

She enjoyed getting a flower from her Daddy.

Miss Becky gave Madelyn this adorable patriotic outfit for her birthday. Thank you, Miss Becky, for such a cute and thoughtful present!

Madelyn's Special Quilt

Aunt Nori made such a beautiful, soft quilt for Madelyn's birthday. Notice the bottom right square that has a birthday cake with one candle to mark her special day. We will always cherish this special gift!


She loves to snuggle with this comfy blankie!!

1 Year Doctor's Appointment

Although she's such a big girl now, Madelyn is only in the 15th percentile for her weight (18 lbs. 11 oz.) and 45th percentile for her height (29 inches). She sure seems big to sit on the scale compared to when she was such a little baby laying on it!


She really hammed it up in front of the big mirror while waiting on the doctor. She was quite captivated by herself!!
