All Dressed Up

Here's Madelyn all dressed up in her pretty red dress. She enjoyed posing in front of the tree and playing with the ornaments!

1st Haircut

Madelyn had her first little haircut last weekend. Her hair was constantly in her eyes, and she really doesn't like leaving bows in to hold it back. So, her bangs were trimmed just a bit.

Even though she got to watch a Dora video during the brief haircut, she shed a few tears in the beginning.
Holding a balloon and her favorite ball helped a little.

"Can I go yet?

Much better!

A Basket of Balls

One of Madelyn's favorite things to do is load all of her favorite balls into this wire basket. She loves carrying it around!

They barely fit!

All loaded and ready to go. It's also fun to wear Mommy's slippers!

Madelyn and Lacy

Here are Madelyn and Lacy having fun around the tree. Madelyn has learned to wind the snowglobe that she loves so much!

Two little cuties!

"Look Lacy, there's a doggie in this snowglobe!"

This is Lacy's 14th Christmas with Mommy. She's still amazingly patient to be so old. We love Lacy!

Going to See Santa

Madelyn went to see Santa last week. She really enjoyed waving and smiling to him until we got close . . .

"Mommy, why are you leaning me so close to this stranger??"

"Surely you're not thinking of LEAVING me here with him, are you?? I don't think so!!"
That's as close as we got to him, so we may try again to get this year's Santa picture. Oh well!

Playing with Pans

It's so much fun to stand on cake pans! Madelyn loves taking all of the pans out of the cabinet then standing on them.

Party Girl

Madelyn and her friends enjoyed Katelyn's birthday party so much the other night! Here they are just hanging out eating some pizza.

She was happiest when she had a ball for each hand! Everyone had to get bundled up to go on a hayride around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights. It was so much fun!

Visiting Grammy & Papaw

We visited Grammy & Papaw for Thanksgiving. Madelyn always loves petting the plastic ducks in their yard.

She got to watch the giant snowglobe inflate just before we left. She's not sure what to think about all of the Christmas decorations, but she was so captivated by the snowglobe that we couldn't get her to look at the camera.

As always, she loved picking up ANYTHING on the ground!

I Love My Books!

Madelyn really loves looking at her books. She turns each page and looks like she's reading. She was excited to get new books from Grammy and Papaw in the mail!

As you can tell from her hair always hanging in her face, she just won't leave bows or clips in her hair. She may have to have her first haircut sooner than we thought!

She especially likes the books that make noise. She pushes the button over and over!

Happy Halloween!

Madelyn was a little Arkansas Razorback cheerleader for Halloween.
She had matching pom-pons also, but she didn't care much for holding them after the initial curiosity wore off.

"Let's go, I've got lots of houses to get to!!"

Madelyn is very anxious to see what's in the treat bowl!

Here is Madelyn with her friend Katelyn, who was a flower.

Madelyn's friend Camryn was a Texas Tech cheerleader. We took a little break at her house, and here's Madelyn telling her that someone is at the door looking for some treats.

She was a big help in passing out candy to all the children.

"Let's look through this bag to see what's in here!"

She enjoyed unloading her treat bag then filling it back up again. How nice for her to share with Mommy and Daddy!

We all had such a fun night!

Madelyn's Favorite Toy

Madelyn's absolute FAVORITE item these days is her blue rubber ball. She started getting very attached to it about 2 weeks ago. It's the first thing that has been a bit of a security item to her. Here she is carrying both the ball and an empty milk jug. Who needs expensive toys anyway?! (But looks like she does need some pants!)

She keeps the ball in one arm while doing many other things, including going through the cabinet.

She's enjoying a little down time watching Dora in her little chair holding her ball. This is the life!

Mr. Ducky is a comfy resting place!

Sometimes one favorite ball just isn't enough!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins

We took Madelyn to the Dallas Arboretum to see the pumpkins. She had so much fun! Of course she tried to pick them up, but she was most fascinated by picking up pieces of hay. It was a perfect Autumn day. It was sunny, crisp, and cool - about 65 degrees. Just wonderful!
