1 Month Birthday!

Today is my 1 month birthday! I feel so big now. I celebrated by hanging out with Mom and Dad and spending some time in my bouncy seat and swing. What a fun day!!

Shopping at the Galleria

Madelyn made her first trip to the Galleria for a little shopping trip. She was very comfy in her stroller from Aunt Amy. Although she slept almost the entire time she was at the mall, we could tell that her favorite store was Harold's. (Just like Mommy!) She enjoyed shoe shopping at Nordstrom's, also.

All Dressed Up

Madelyn was all dressed up in a cute outfit from her Aunt Amy and cousin Ivy. She's wearing Mary Jane socks that look like little shoes that Mom's friend Laura gave her.

Storytime

Angie read Madelyn her first book today!

Madelyn's First Outing

Madelyn got to go on her first outing today. Guess where.....SNUFFER'S!! She slept the whole time even though the music was pretty loud. Don't worry, she didn't get any cheese fries.

Mrs. Kendall is in the HOUSE!

Laura stopped by so she and Angie could get some work done....but she had to spend some time with Madelyn too!

Amy's Leaving....

Aunt Amy had to get back home to California on Monday, but not before a few more pics with Madelyn. She was loads and help and we hated to see her go.

Update

On Friday, Madelyn was 2 weeks old and had her 1st doctors appointment. Everything checked out OK. She cried more (and louder) than she ever has when they pricked her foot for blood. Angie almost cried too! Her cord has not fallen off yet, but the Dr said it was just because it is so thick. It should be off in the next week.

Madelyn is not back up to her birth weight yet, but the Dr is not concerned. We've been tracking feedings and she is very consistent and up to 3+ ozs at each feeding. She weighed 7 lbs 7oz at birth, and now weighs 7 lbs 5 ozs.

Farewell to the Sign

After almost two weeks, we thought it was time to go ahead and take our sign out of our front yard. Thanks again to our neighbor , Heather, for surprising us with this when we got home from the hospital!

Last Hoorah for the Sign

Before we put the sign away for safe keeping, Terry wanted to make sure everybody knew little Madelyn was here! Here he is displaying some of his best picket line moves!

Which Weighs More?

...a frowning baby or a 44 oz-er? After avoiding caffeine for 9 months, Angie catches up with a big Sonic drink after feeding Madelyn.

Lacy

Here's Lacy soaking up some sun. She gave Madelyn a lick on the foot the other day. We assume that means acceptance!

Professional Help Arrives....

Aunt Amy finally made it in from California after a long day of flying. She came in and immediately took over. With two kids of her own (almost 2 and 5), she's a real pro! I bet Angie never thought she'd be getting advice from her little sister!

Lee Ann & Scott Stop By

Terry's cousin, Lee Ann, and her husband Scott stopped by to see Madelyn for the 1st time. It was also Lee Ann's B-Day...Happy Birthday!!

Here's Madelyn in her 1st 4th of July outfit. It was a little big for her, but Angie would not be denied the opportunity to play 'dress up' with the new baby!

Spencer stops by....

The Peters clan - Steve, Spencer, Ann (w/Madelyn) - stopped by on the 4th. Unfortunately, Madelyn was a bit too sleepy to appreciate the visit!

Our 1st July 4th....

Angie has been taking most of the pictures for the blog, but Madelyn finally got her picture taken with Mom again after a long drought. Lacy also snuck into one of the pictures!

This was taken right before bedtime! We couldn't decide which one of these to post, so we just posted both of them.

After Lunch

After a big lunch (2.5 Oz), Daddy spends some time with the girls on the couch. Each day, there is more and more awake time. Madelyn is now 10 days old.

Terry's Family Makes a Visit....

Here's Terry's Mom with her 1st grandchild! She has decided to be called Mimi (pronounced me-me) .....Nana is already taken - see next picture!

Following a quick sponge bath, Madelyn is ready for bed in some of her new pajamas. The built-in mittens come in handy.
